EAFT Awards 2018

International Terminology Awards

Coinciding with the Terminology Summit in San Sebastian, the 2018 International Terminology Awards will be presented. Four valid works were submitted for the 2018 Awards. An international jury, chaired by Anca-Marina Velicu, examined the three PhD theses and the MA dissertation. The two awards are the International Award for Outstanding Achievement in Terminology Research and Development (PhD level) and the International Award for Distinguished Achievement in Terminology (MA level). The jury were as follows:

An honorable mention is given to Paolo Michele Maria Panena for his master thesis: The new European legislation regulating market abuse: a terminographic study in Italian, English, French and Spanish

Call for nominations 2018

The call for nominations for the Terminology Awards 2018 is now open.
The two International Terminology Awards are the International Award for Outstanding Achievement in Theoretical/Fundamental Research in the Field of Terminology, and the International Award for Applied Terminology Research and Development. Submissions may consist of doctoral theses or masters dissertations in any language, but must be accompanied by a ten-page summary in English.
The Awards are open to candidates from all over the world. Submitted theses or dissertations will be evaluated on the basis of the innovativeness of their content and how they contribute towards further developing applied research and development in the field of terminology.

Candidates are required to submit their candidature online by May 30, 2018.

The Awards Ceremony will take place during the IX Terminology Summit, which will be held in San Sebastian, in the Kursaal Congress Centre, on 22-23 November 2018.
